WESTERN WORKHORSE PAINTING BY BARRY J FREEMAN
A superb oil painting by Barry J Freeman of 4999 Gopsal Hall at Whiteball summit.The painting is called Western Workhorse. It is approx 27" x 21" and framed,it is in mint condition as it has never been exposed to direct sunlight. Included is a copy of the magazine Artist's and Illustrator's where there is an article on the work involved in doing that very painting as well as a couple of 10 x 8 photographs.

9452 0-6-0PT BRASS CABSIDE
9452 0-6-0PT Brass Cabside. This loco was built by Stephenson & Hawthorn in July 1951 under works number 7589. It was shedded at 87A and 87F Llanelly and was withdrawn in May 1965 and cut up at Birds Bynea in Aug. 1965. It is a superb example in ex-loco condition.

TOTEM: FLITWICK. BR(M)
fully flanged maroon totem with a good colour and shine. With a chip in the upper panel above the 'W', also above the 'T' and adjacent to the second 'I'. Would restore very well to make a super totem. From an ex-MR station south of Bedford opened in 1870. A scarce example, seldom seen.

fully flanged green in excellent condition and a fine example of the lower priced end totem ready to add to your collection with excellent colour and shine,. A former SE&CR station between Lewisham and Orpington opened as Elmstead in July 1904. Renamed Oct. 1908.

CABSIDE Brass ex 6924 Grantley Hall Class “4900” 4-6-0.
Built at Swindon Works in August 1941 under lot 340. Date withdrawn October 1965 and scrapped at J. Friswell. Banbury at Banbury MPD in Feb 1966.Last shed was 81F Oxford. This cabside is in wonderful ex loco condition just as in came off the engine. A real gem.

COMMEMORATIVE CHINA PLATE
issued to celebrate the Duke of Gloucester 4-6-2 as the last passenger steam locomotive to be built by BR at Crewe Works in 1954. This is a special AD 2000 Millennium limited edition of 2000 designed and produced by James Dean Pottery, Ditton Priors, Shropshire. Size is 10 ½” diameter and is issue Plate number 1 so a real rarity.

The enamel dial measures 3 ½” across with the overall diameter including the wooden case of 6 ¾” This very desirable example is in full working order and in good condition albeit with a few “scrape” marks around the front dial wood surround.

LNER DR POSTER DEPICTING THE SHAMBLES, YORK
By Harry Tittensor RI 1887-1942. A very evocative view of the now-famous Shambles in York City captured in this stunning artwork by this early renowned artist. The poster is in excellent condition with only slight yellowing around the borders and comes fully framed and glazed. This is a magnificent professionally framed early poster. Overall frame size 44" x 28 3/4".

TENBY'S GOLDEN SANDS UNIQUE WATER COLOUR PAINTING
Being the original art work of the latter poster produced for the Great Western Railway Company in England in 1927. It was painted in 1926 by Major Herbert Charles Goodeye Allen, and has been counter-signed on the rear by Inez Kingdom (grand-daughter of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the founder of the GWR. The Overall size measures 21 1/2" x 14" and is superbly framed and glazed.

Original French travel poster for SNCF Plages du Morbihan (Britanny) 1950 by Brianchon. 40" x 25" in generally good condition. Small less than1" tear to right of the boats, all the paper is there. LMS CLASS 8F 2-8-0 Ex 48088 VULCAN FOUNDRY WORKSPLATE
A suberb LMS 8F Vulcan Foundry worksplate. No 4765 of 1936. The loco entered service in Jan. 1937 and was a 9L Buxton loco in its latter years. Withdrawn in Dec. 1966 and cut up at Cohen Kettering in May 1967. This is one of the best examples I have seen and is stamped on the rear 8088.
