West Country Class Scroll ex 34099 Lynmouth
“WEST COUNTRY CLASS” scroll “LYNMOUTH” from a class 4-6-2 Pacific “34099” which was built at Eastleigh in 1949. It entered service in December of that year at Ramsgate, but was soon moved on to Bournemouth and later was based at Brighton, Salisbury and Eastleigh. Withdrawn in November 1964 and was cut up at Bird’s Morriston, Swansea in March 1965. (This was one of the West Country locos that was not allocated a badge).
The plate is in very good condition albeit it has suffered a BR weld at some stage, to a very high standard and doesn't detract at all. A rare opportunity to acquire an original scroll, maybe to complete that set.
